Suddenly, the familiar, rhythmic sound of a woodpecker echoes through the silent woods: a steady percussion against a hollow trunk.
Hues of fiery red, burnt orange, and deep gold carpet the ground and cling to the trees, creating a vibrant tapestry of the changing season.
