There are some evenings when you simply have to stop and watch the sun go down.
We get some wonderful sunsets here in Cornwall, and I love those last few minutes when the sky turns vivid pink and the fading light catches the sea.
The waves keep rolling in, completely unconcerned by the sunset happening above them.
This painting came from one of those evenings when I found myself standing there for longer than I intended.
Sometimes you just have to stop and stare.
