The Splash
This is the moment when the Atlantic hits the rocks. A single wave surges forward and strikes the rock head-on, exploding into a crown of white spray that hangs in the air for a heartbeat before falling back into the sea. Stand close enough and you feel the impact as much as you see it — the crack of the wave, the rush of air and the sting of salt on your skin. Then it's gone. The sea pulls back and starts gathering itself for the next one.
