Dancing In The Blue | 76 x 76cm
The cherry blossom is out, the sky is blue and the branches are moving gently in the breeze.
I love that short period when the trees are covered in blossom and everything feels fresh and full of colour.
The flowers seem almost weightless against the sky, and every little movement makes them shift and dance.
Of course, it doesn't last for long.
A few weeks later the blossom has gone and the tree looks completely different.
That's part of what makes these moments worth noticing.
This painting is simply about that brief burst of spring — pink blossom, blue sky and a tree moving gently in the breeze.
