Moment Of Contact 61x91cm
Moment Of Contact
There’s a moment when a wave hits the rocks with everything it has.
The sea surges forward, rises and then explodes into white spray. For a second, the water hangs in the air, catching the light before falling back into the Atlantic.
You can feel the impact as much as you see it — the crash of the wave, the rush of air and the cool mist reaching your face.
The sea is constantly moving, constantly changing.
This painting is about that split second when the power of the Atlantic and the solidness of the land meet.
And then, almost as quickly as it arrived, the moment is gone.
